Evivar Medical is a joint venture company between Melbourne Health (including the Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory [VIDRL]), Melbourne Health Collaborative Consortium Partners (including leading clinicians from Australia, the Netherlands, Germany and Spain) and the ATF Group (PDF) Limited.

Melbourne Health is one of the major public health care providers in Victoria, Australia. The Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory (VIDRL) is the state's largest public health reference laboratory with core responsibilities in virology and mycobacteriology. VIDRL also provides expertise in bacteriology, parasitology, epidemiology and molecular detection technologies.
